Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid Bouquet, Coursage
Picking flowers for the big day is far from a seamless task. There’s the bridal bouquet, the grandmother’s corsage, and don’t even get us started on the centerpieces. To make the flower flurry more manageable, we share with you our Wedding Blossoms and Blooms Guide:Bridal Bouquet:There is certainly no lack of options when it comes to choosing the bride’s bouquet. To narrow down the choices pick a consistent theme and flowers that are in season. That will help narrow down the choices and make your dream bouquet become a reality Some of our bouquet favorites are the cascading and more compact looks. But every bride is different and it’s important that it works for her.Bridesmaid Bouquet:The Bridesmaid bouquet is probably the second most important flower arrangement during the ceremony. These bouquets are typically less extravagant; after all, we can’t be stealing attention from the bride. Each bridesmaid can have a different bouquet, similar or completely different to that of the bride’s.Boutonniere: Yes…the boys get floral as well. We think it’s best if boutonnieres match the overall floral theme. They can be as modest as a single rose or just some simple greenery. But if the groom has a liking for a bit of flare then throw simple greenery out and load the boutonniere up with some color. Boutonnieres can be made out of an array of synthetic material.Corsage:We recommend picking one or two prominent flowers from the bouquet to create the corsage. This designates a common theme and color pallet. Centerpieces:Let’s talk centerpieces. Just like with corsage, an overall theme is important when approaching these floral arrangements. Choose similar colors to that of the other blooms and blossoms. Centerpieces can range from lots of small bud vases to large arrangements in the center of the table. We recommend keeping centerpieces low enough that guests can see over them and not feel as though they are talking through the arrangement to the guests on the other side of the table. One new trend we love is hanging centerpieces! And…don’t forget, centerpieces can incorporate more than just flowers!
